  • The 2014 graduation rate is hovering around 95%.
  • This past year’s graduating class earned more than $2 million in scholarships.
  • 100% of M-U teachers are certified in their teaching area.
  • The Performance Index (P.I.) score on the 2014 district report card is 100.02, the highest P.I. score yet!  The P.I. reflects the achievement of every student enrolled in M-U.  A different weight is assigned to the overall percentage of students who score in one of the following ranges: advanced, accelerated, proficient, basic and limited.  57.7% of M-U students scored in the advanced or accelerated range.
  • M-U, along with Piqua City and Franklin-Monroe Local Schools, received $2.1 million from the Ohio Department of Education’s Straight A grant.  This is a K-1 literacy initiative that will bolster reading achievement through: increased parent engagement; 1:1 laptops; and highly engaging multi-media reading modules.
  • 32 students in grades two through eight attended the summer Robotics Camp in June.  The students worked in teams and created many creative models!
  • U.S. Department of Education’s Green Ribbon Award – M-U was one of nine districts in the country to be recognized for its reduced environmental impact and costs; an improved environment promoting health and wellness; and teaching an environmental and sustainability education.
