About Us:

Missouri State-Mountain Grove is a 190-acre campus located in Mountain Grove on the Ozarks Plateau in rural south-central Missouri.  Provost Belinda McCarthy is Chancellor of the campus. Headed by Dr. Anson Elliott, the Agriculture Department operates the Missouri State Fruit Experiment Station that includes the Center for Grapevine Biotechnology and the Mountain Grove Cellars. and faculty teaches primarily through the Plant Science Master's Degree Program. Dr. Tamera Jahnke is the Dean of the College of Natural and Applied Sciences to which the Agriculture Department belongs.

The 12 acres east of the highway features Historic Faurot Hall housing the Paul Evans Library of Fruit Science, Shepard Hall, the Classroom Building, the Research Winery, the Fruit Processing Education Building, the Sales Dock, Greenhouses, and the Ozark Arboretum.  The 180 acres west of highway 95 features the Shop and Machine Storage Building, the Duplex, the Horse Barn, Pine Pond, the Horticulture Demonstration Area, and research and demonstration plantings.

Area students take courses offered on the Mountain Grove campus and through outreach programs from West Plains and Springfield. The VESTA program offers  a course of study that leads to a Certificate or Associate of Applied Science Degree in Viticulture or Enology and is offered through Missouri State - West Plains. The Missouri State West Plains extended campus is located just south of the State Fruit Experiment Station in Shannon Hall.
