The name Mitchell Berean comes from Acts 17:11 where the Bereans “received the Word with great eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily.” Consequently, the word Berean has come to refer to that which is Bible-centered.

The only way to accomplish our purpose in such a large church is to be a church of small groups (Life Groups). This provides all of us the shepherding and community we need to grow toward Christ-likeness. Therefore, our two primary environments to accomplish our purpose are Corporate Worship Services and Life Groups. These two environments are essential to be properly cared for and encouraged in our Christian walk.
