Home of the Hickory Apple Festival. We are located approximately 25 miles southwest of Pittsburgh in Washington County. Our firefighters travel 88 miles of roads to serve 3,800 residents and a number of businesses in our 36.5 square miles of coverage area. We also provide fire coverage with Slovan VFD and Avella VFD to 52 square miles of Cross Creek Township. We also assist with mutual aid to our neighboring fire companies. We run out of two stations with two engines, a tanker, three squads, a brush truck, and a FCFD special ops trailer. We respond to around 425 to 450 calls a year ranging from medical calls to vehicle accidents to fires.
