National Forest Lodge
9905 National Forest Lodge Road

National Forest Lodge has been a cross country skiing and snowshoeing destination resort in Northern Minnesota since the development of this remote area of the Superior National Forest. It's a remote, quiet setting only half an hour from Lake Superior's North Shore. We're at least an hour closer than neighboring resorts up the Gunflint Trail, so you can save time and money(on gas) by planning a ski weekend with us.

Beautiful, quiet cross country ski and snowshoe trails wind through 2,000 acres of the Superior National Forest. Thanks to being located at the top of the continental divide, snow comes early in the season and stays late, making for excellent conditions well into March and some of the most consistent skiing in the Upper Midwest.

Cozy, warm cabins with a charm all their own are nestled in the towering pines of the forest and provide the perfect place to settle into after a day on the trails! National Forest Lodge offers a unique winter get-away of great cross country skiing and snowshoeing, hearty food, and friendly hospitality.

The experience of skiing and snowshoeing through the "Big Pines" at National Forest Lodge can be found in few other places. Picture a brilliant blue sky amidst towering red and white pines blanketed in heavy snow...
