About the Foundation:
The Nebraska City Community Foundation, an affiliate of the Nebraska Community Foundation supports community betterment projects that enhance the quality of life for the citizens of Nebraska City, population 7,134. Since its creation in August 2000, over $2,484,684 has been contributed to 21 different accounts under the Nebraska City Community Foundation. More than $1,224,257 has been granted back to benefit the community. The remaining funds are being accumulated to support and strengthen local non-profit organizations, to fund scholarships and to create endowment funds. Fourteen non-traditional scholarships of $750 each have been awarded from the General Fund of the Nebraska City Community Foundation.
