The Trinity:

We believe in the Triune God. There is only one God and He manifests Himself in three persons: (1) God the Father, (2) God the Son, (3) God the Holy Spirit. God the Father, is sovereign, eternal, omnipotent, and unchangeable. He is worthy of praise, honor, adoration, and obedience. God the Son, was born of a virgin and is God incarnate. His life was sinless, and He provided a sufficient, substitutional death on the cross, for the sins of the whole world. He was resurrected from the dead on the third day, ascended into the heavens, and He is sitting at the right hand of the Father until His imminent return. God the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Godhead. It is He who brings conviction, indwells the believer, brings us regeneration, seals all Christians until the day of our redemption. The Holy Spirit also gives spiritual gifts to all believers, however the manifestation of these gifts is not a prerequisite of salvation, is not a requirement for evidence of salvation, or the filling of the Spirit.

(Deut 6:4, Matthew 3:16-17, II Cor. 13:14, Matthew 1: 18, Luke 1:35, John 1:1-5 & 14)

The Bible:

We believe that all Scripture, both Old and New Testaments is the verbally inspired Word of God. The Scripture is the final authority on our faith. We believe that the Authorized King James Version is God's word for this generation and generations to come. This is the only version that will be used from the pulpit to the classrooms, or any other NBBC church function. We also believe that the Bible is infallible and there is no error in its dealings, weather they be scientific, historical, moral, or theological.

(II Timothy 3:16, Hebrews 4:12, II Peter 1:20 - 21)

Creation:

We believe in the creation of the universe and all living things by a direct act of God. This is completely apart from any man made theory or so-called evolutionary process. We also believe that this creational process was in six literal (24 hour) days.

(Genesis 1:1-2:3, John 1:1-5, Hebrews 11:3)

Satan:

We believe in the existence of a personal being called Satan. He is an accuser of the brethren, a tempter, and is malicious. There is a literal place of eternal punishment, which is the "Lake of Fire", that was prepared for him. This is also the place where all who die without accepting Christ as their personal saviour will be confined in torments for eternity.

(Gen. 1:26; Deut. 6:4; Matt. 3:16-17; II Cor. 13:14; Matt. 1:18; Luke 1:35; John 1:14)

Sinful Man:

We believe in the fall of man in the Garden of Eden. This fall caused a total depravity and sin entered into not only the earth, but the whole human race. Man is incapable of personal salvation regardless of a moral life, a religious life, and any good work we may perform. Therefore, we need the salvation of God, and the Saviour.

(Gen. 3:15, 6:5; Psa. 14; Rom. 3:10-23)

Justification:

We believe that men are justified by faith alone and that this faith is counted to us, by God, as righteousness. This righteousness is only through the merit of the Lord Jesus Christ, and that personal salvation from the eternal penalty of sin provided solely by the grace of God. This grace is based on the atoning death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and is only available through faith in His person, and work.

(Rom. 3:20-24; 5:1-11; Gal. 2:16, 3:26; I John 3:2)

The Return of Christ:

We believe in Christ's pretribulation, bodily return in the air, to catch away His bride, the Church. We also believe in His return to earth to set up His millennial kingdom after a seven year tribulation period. We believe in the bodily resurrection of believers to everlasting life and fellowship with God, and of all non-believers to everlasting torment and punishment in Hell fire. We believe in the Judgment Seat of Christ for all believers and the Great White Throne Judgment for all unbelievers.

(II Thess. 4:13-18; Matt. 25:31-47; Psa. 96:13; Acts 17:31; Rev. 20:15)

Our Mission:

We believe that God's plan for this present age involves the evangelization of the world through the witness of every believer in Jesus Christ and the establishing of local churches as a means of accomplishing His purpose.

(Matt. 28:18-20; Mark 16:15; Acts 1:8)
