About Us

The Westland United Pentecostal Church is an apostolic church - a Bible-believing, Spirit-filled church that is dedicated to sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with all.

Our Purposes

We purpose to genuinely love and serve the Lord with all of our hearts.

We purpose to love our neighbors and each other as we love ourselves.

Just as Christians in the New Testament left their ungodly ways of living (repentance) and were baptized in the name of their Savior (Jesus Christ) and were filled with God's Spirit (baptized in the Holy Spirit), we expect and experience the same marvelous process ourselves. We, like Jesus, encourage everyone to be born of water and of the spirit and to live holy and godly lives thereafter as God helps us grow in grace. We appreciate and encourage the proper use of spiritual gifts as was done in the early church!

We take the principles of Scripture and the leading of the Holy Spirit very seriously and are well known for enthusiastic worship services that include a lot of singing and prayer for one another.

We make a joyful noise unto the Lord.

We know we are not perfect, so we strive to respect others even when they do not agree with us. After all, we are all human beings in whom God has placed his image.

We feel it is our duty to preach, teach and live the gospel as we understand it and then leave the judging to God.
