North Platte Country Bluegrass Festival

In 2001, Donna Mentzer had the idea of bringing a bluegrass show to the city of North Platte for people to enjoy. Gathered at the local FOX theatre (Neville Center), about 500 people sat back and listened to a  great lineup of up and coming country bluegrass bands. After such a good turnout, the Mentzer's knew they were on to something! Each year the show got a little bigger with more bands and more audience members. In 2003, they moved the show out to the Lincoln County Fairgrounds, where there was more space and  larger facilities.

Now, the North Platte Country Bluegrass Show has entertained thousands of people during a 3 day festival! The festival offers a great lineup of bluegrass entertainers, good food, craft/vendor show, workshops, jamming, and much more! On Saturday morning, we always feature our band showcase. This gives up and coming bluegrass artists the chance to perform and show their talent in front of a large audience and other promoters.

Hungry? Why wait? The festival offers a kitchen on site that serves 3 meals a day along with concessions throughout the day and evening. Satisfy your sweet tooth with a piece of our homemade pie or desert! Don't forget, after the last concert of every evening, head over to the kitchen for the "Eat & Greet". This is where you can grab a piece of pie and coffee and visit with the entertainers and jam for a bit!
