About Us:

We want you to know that we care about you and your family.  Our church exists to honor Christ and to make Him known to others.  We desire to offer a wide variety of ministries that will assist you in your spiritual and personal growth and equip you to become a fully devoted follower of Jesus Christ.

We hope you will benefit from the various programs and ministries that are offered by our church.  Every opportunity that we share is intentionally designed to fulfill the mission statement of our church: "a community of transformed believers connecting others with Christ."

Our heart’s desire is to serve you and your loved ones as you seek a better understanding of God and His mission for your life.  If we can help you in any way please do not hesitate to communicate with us through this site or by calling our church offices.

It has been said that people don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.  At NRHBC people are important to us because they are important to God.  We extend a personal invitation for you to come and join us in the journey of faith.

History

North Richland Hills Baptist Church began on February 26, 1956, as a mission sent from Richland Hills Baptist Church. From 41 in attendance that first Sunday in the North Richland Elementary School, the membership has grown to over 2,758.

The church was chartered with 115 members when the first building was completed on May 20, 1956. NRHBC expanded by building a new auditorium and educational buildings, purchasing homes on Vance Road for additional educational cottages, and purchasing land on Glenview for our Worship Center and Cornerstone Buildings.

The 15th Anniversary in May 1971 was celebrated with an open air worship service on the concrete foundation of our current 1,200 seat auditorium. Groundbreaking for the 42,000 square foot Family Life Center was held in 1989. NRHBC purchased the former bank building property on Highway 26 to secure additional parking, and a new 70,000 square foot Preschool Children's Ministry Building was completed in March 2000.
