About Us:

The Rotary Club of Panama City Beach, chartered in 1968.  Our first meeting location was the Old Long Beach Restaurant which was located across the street from the famous Hang Out.  When the group grew too large for the restaurant in 1970, we moved to the Koni-Kai Restaurant, a Polynesian place that is now Pompano’s.   In 1975, the group relocated to the Holiday Lodge, owned by club member Bill Parrish, located at the base of the Hathaway Bridge.  In 1989, another move to the Mariner Seafood Restaurant, followed by a moved to Edgewater Beach Resort and The Boatyard.  The club currently meets at The Palms Conference Center. Our club was the first club in Bay County to induct a woman into membership; she later became the first woman president of our club in and in District 6940.  We’ve since had 3 additional women presidents, one of whom, Jeannie Retherford, was District 6940 Governor 2011-2012.
