About Us:

Park Community Church is an Evangelical church associated with he Conservative Baptist Churches of Northern California, also known as Next Generation Churches. We believe in the Lordship of Jesus Christ and that His blood shed at Calvary was the atonement for our sins. We believe that all men and women are “born in sin” and need a Savior. Jesus Christ is that Savior and the Savior of the whole world. PCC was established in 1980 as a church that would appeal to the community as a church committed to the preaching and teaching of the Word of God. PCC is committed to growing people in Christ according to Acts 2:42 in the apostle’s doctrine, and fellowship, in the breaking of bread (communion) and prayer. Our worship is somewhat traditional. Hymns are still OK at PCC. Many of our worship chorus’ are from Maranatha music, Hosanna Integrity, the Brooklyn Tabernacle choir as well as so many good worship chorus’ sung throughout the years. PCC celebrates the Lord’s Supper (communion) every first Sunday of the month. We also believe in baptism by emersion. PCC has a children’s church during the morning message for children through the 5th grade. We have three lovely nursery rooms for new newborns through toddler ages. Every Sunday morning after worship services, the church is invited to fellowship together with donuts, fruit, and coffee/tea in the fellowship hall.

History:

In a community that was beginning to grow and with no evangelical churches at the time, the church started in the pastor’s home and moved into the band room at Camerado Middle school. Within two years, the church purchased a beautiful 5 acre parcel on a north frontage road adjacent to hwy 50 near the Ponderosa road off ramp. The small congregation banded together to build the first phase of their building on a “cash as you go” basis. In December of 1984, the congregation moved into our new building. Over the next 10 years the church added new nursery facilities, a baptismal tank and in 1990 more that doubled the building size by expanding the sanctuary and adding a large fellowship hall and kitchen.
