To develop a commitment to Jesus Christ and His church. To transmit the love of God to others as based on the experience of God's people as recorded in the Bible.

I believe Jesus was before the world began and through Christ all was created. That is, Jesus is the Christ, God incarnate, God in the flesh. Because of the fall of man in the garden, all mankind is born in sin. This separates God the Father from fellowshipping with those He created as well as barring mankind from fulfilling God's purpose for ones life, that is glorifying God.

Since God the Father is Holy, He can not tolerate sin. Since sin separates us from fellowshipping and glorifying Him, God the Father out of his love for us came to earth in the person of Jesus Christ who offered Himself as a propitiation for the sins of man, past, present and future.

By my acceptance of Christ all atoning death at Calvary and His resurrection from the dead, I am made righteous in the eyes of God. I am given by grace eternal life, sealed by the Holy Spirit who lives in and through me.

Out of love for what Christ has done for me, I want to share His love with others being "like" Christ and reflecting God's love. I realize this is done only by the power of the Holy Spirit. For without Christ's love for me, I am nothing. I am a sinner save only by the grace of God.
