Portofino Island Resort, Gulf Breeze, Florida (near Pensacola Beach) now offers several Multisport Performance Institute (MPI) multi-day triathlon training camps. The camps are guided by head coaches Mark Sortino and John Murray, both of them Level 2 Certified by USA Triathlon, and Ironman finishers. Use the area's uncrowded paved roadways and sidewalks for your runs and bike training and our own indoor Olympic-style, multi-lane pool, the calm Sound or open water Gulf for swimming. The programs go beyond the traditional training routines and curriculum by including swim video analysis. Perhaps the most valuable distinguishing feature of an MPI camp is the in-depth attention paid to the MPI Keys to increased performance: Training, Recovery, Nutrition, Wellness, Mental and Racing.
