Ravine Drive Elementary School is located in the Borough of Matawan in Monmouth County, New Jersey. The school has 356 students in grades Kindergarten, First, Second and Third grades . It is one of four elementary schools in the Matawan-Aberdeen Regional School District.

The teaching staff consists of sixteen regular education teachers, Resource Room teachers and seventeen teachers who provide instruction in Art, Computer Education, ESL, Library, Physical Education, Health, Vocal Music,World Languages, Reading and Math Recovery/ Literacy Groups, Speech and Basic Skills. There is a full time Nurse in the building.

Support for students demonstrating difficulty in reading, writing and mathematics is provided through our FOCUS(Focus on Concepts and Understanding Strategies)program. Additional help is also available through the school’s Tutorial Program. In addition the Pupil Assistance Committee helps teachers provide strategies to assist students who are experiencing academic problems.

Our Parent Teacher Organization is a very active group that supports the students and teachers in many ways. PTO activities include a number of fundraising events that helps to defray the cost of our monthly assembly programs.
