Richmond Farm 2 Table
Different crops grow at different times of the year, so each season your box will always contain 9-12 new and exciting items. Take a look at a sample of the possibilities:Winter: Broccoli, carrots, greens, turnips, chard, lemons, lettuce, fresh herbs, onions, garlic, leeks, potatoes, oranges.
-Spring: Asparagus, carrots, greens, chard, fresh herbs, oranges, potatoes, kale, lemons, lettuce, onions, garlic, leeks.
-Summer: Asparagus, carrots, cherries, cucumbers, egg plant, fresh herbs, tomatoes, lettuce, melons, peaches, nectarines, plums, apricots, peppers, corn.
-Fall: Apples, pears, greens, cucumbers, egg plant, fresh herbs, kale, peppers, sweet potatoes, yams, zucchini.
The Richmond Farm 2 Table Program is a unique model of agriculture that provides a direct purchasing relationship between communities and local farmers that allows low income communities access to fresh, seasonal fruits and vegetables at an affordable price. Our program brings you a box of fresh, locally grown fruits and vegetables twice each month, along with recipe cards and a monthly health and nutrition newsletter. Our CSA sources its produce from EcoVillage Farm in Richmond, CA and other farmers in East Contra Costa County through a partnership with the Brentwood Agricultural Land Trust.
When you join the Richmond Farm 2 Table Program, not only do you receive a box of fresh produce twice each month, but you help subsidize the cost of a box for a family in need living in urban Richmond.
