About Riverside Baptist Church:
Riverside organized as a church in the Riverside area near downtown Miami on October 13, 1921. The church remained downtown for over 50 years and experienced tremendous growth until a demographic shift forced it to move into the suburb of Kendall to our present location in 1974.
Riverside is now a multi-cultural congregation devoted to helping others hear the Good News of Christ's love for all of us, one person at a time.
Our Mission:
Riverside Baptist Church exists to INVITE people to Christ, to GROW them in Christ, and to SEND them for Christ.
Our Vision:
Our VISION guides us, pulls us toward the future. We focus on five "stars" to illuminate the way.
WORSHIP: We know that God likes celebrations. So, we see our worship times as a huge way to celebrate God's good grace toward us.
WELCOME: We know that God likes things filled up. He likes a crowd at his parties. So, we are intentionally inviting others to the excitement of life in Christ. Our dream is that our worship centers will be filled to the brim.
FRIENDSHIP: We are becoming a community of true friends who love unconditionally, forgive freely, give generously, and serve faithfully.
CHANGED LIVES: We desire to be so like Jesus that we are immersed in the Bible, always in prayer for our world and our church, living responsibly, and giving generously.
SERVICE: Every follower of Jesus at Riverside will discover and use their gifts and talents to enrich the church and redeem God's world
Our Values:
Our VALUES describe for us the kind of church in which we want to "live and move and have our being."
CHRIST-CENTERED: Jesus will be at the center of our lives so that all we do and say will look and sound like what Jesus would do and say.
GRACE-FILLED: "Grace" is the way that God does things. Grace forgives, even when there is no apology. Grace gives, even when there is no gratitude. Since that is the way God loves us, it is the way we want to love God and others.

PEOPLE are more important than things, programs, or policies.
PARTNERS are better than "Lone Rangers."
