Russiaville is a small town with a population of approximately 1,230 people. Located on State Road 26 between State Road 29 and U.S. 31, Russiaville is a town with a lot of wonderful citizens and opportunities.

On January 13, 1998 the Russiaville Police Department took possession of the old library building. This particular building was originally a depot station for the Nickel Plate Railroad. It was originally located on South Union Street along the railroad tracks. After the building had been abandoned for several years, it was moved to its current location and remodeled for the Russiaville Branch of the Kokomo-Howard County Public Library. As use of the library grew, the old depot building was not large enough. The library board then decided to build a new building for the Russiaville Branch which is located at the entrance of the Western Heights Subdivision.

With Russiaville growing and the demands of the police department getting greater, the Russiaville Town Council felt it was time for the police department to have its own building. Therefore, the council voted to remodel the building for use as the new Russiaville Police Station. The building houses offices for Marshal Waddell and Deputy Marshal Harper as well as an interview room, evidence room and a computer work center. The police department would like to thank the Town Council as well as the residents of Russiaville for all their support in this project!
