Philosophy and Goals

We at Sacred Heart School, in partnership with the Church Community and parents, provide our students with the religious and academic training to ensure their success as Catholics and citizens in our society.

Our curriculum stresses the importance of academic achievement while celebrating the unique God given talents and abilities of each individual. We nurture our students to have confidence, to explore, and question the world around them. We challenge them to love, respect, and honor others as Jesus taught.

With Jesus Christ as our example, we instill a love of God and a solid foundation in faith that students carry with them and depend on throughout their life's journey.

Our goals:

· Promote a love of God, through the teachings of the Catholic Church, to the student , family and school community.

· Foster an ability to work with others through sharing, cooperation, and a sense of moral values.

· Serve God, through mutual respect, caring, and love.

· Keep Sacred Heart School a family oriented community of students, parents, and staff.

· Create a Christian environment that provides a safe and nurturing place to learn and grow.

· Provide an educational environment where children develop a sense of wonder, curiosity, and a love of learning that remains throughout their lives.

· Provide a curriculum that encourages excellence in the fundamental academic skills.

· Introduce our students to learning opportunities that encourages exploration and application of principles.

· Enrich our curriculum with an appreciation for the visual and performing arts, music and physical education.

· Continue our professional education as a faculty, both academically and spiritually.

· Provide our students with a respect for the past, a sense of today and a vision for tomorrow.
