When Safetyville USA was established in 1984, it became the first safety education training center for children in the United States. A typical American City built to one third scale; it has paved streets, sidewalks, traffic signs and signals. More than 200,000 children (preschool through third grade) have benefitted from the interactive safety and health programs. At Safetyville USA, the staff, volunteers and community sponsors work to create a safe environment where children can learn to understand hazardous situations and avoid them. It is their hope that through the skills learned at Safetyville USA, the children will grow-up to be safety and health conscious adults.The miniature city is open for tours at 3909 Bradshaw Road, Sacramento, Monday through Friday from 8:45am to 3pm. Tours are $3 per person for anyone three and up.  Children two and under are free. Call to schedule a tour, birthday party or other special event.
