The middle school of Gaston-Swansea School District Four of Lexington County, seeks to provide each student with challenging and highly motivating learning experiences. Located in Gaston, South Carolina, just twenty miles south of Columbia, Sandhills.

Middle School has a unique student population. It boasts an approximate enrollment of 575 students. There are 36 dedicated and highly trained classroom teachers. The support staff works closely with administration and teachers to help ensure students are offered the best possible education. Grades seven and eight are served at Sandhills Middle School.
