The PreK-12 District is located in northwestern Wisconsin in Jackson and Clark Counties, approximately 135 miles northwest of Madison, 59 miles southeast of Eau Claire and 59 miles northeast of La Crosse. The District encompasses approximately 138 square miles and is comprised of eight minicipalities including the Villages of Alma Center and Merrillan, and portions of the Towns of Alma, Cleveland, Garden Valley, Hixton and Northfield in Jackson County, and a portion of the town of Mentor in Clark County. The District is governed by a seven-member Board of Education elected for three year staggered terms.
The district consists of two schools. Lincoln Elementary School which is located in Merrillan, Wi was built in 1996. The present enrollment at the elementary school is 342 which is the pre K-6th grade students. The building is 69,000 square feet.
Lincoln Junior/Senior High School is located in Alma Center, WI. It was built in 1965 with an addition put on in 1977. The enrollment at the high school is 279 students 7th - 12th grade. The building is 73,757 square feet.
