Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School, with an enrollment of about 1,475 students, offers a comprehensive program that serves the needs, aptitudes, and interests of its diverse student body. Extensive required and elective courses are available in English, mathematics, science, social studies, world languages, physical education and health, instructional technologies and business, art, vocal and instrumental music, industrial technology education, and family and consumer sciences. There are seventeen Advanced Placement courses. In addition, there are work/study programs, vocational/technical training opportunities, and an internationally recognized Air Force Junior ROTC program. Special facilities include computer labs, reading labs, subject resource centers, college and career resource center, and media center with audio/video/TV production and broadcasting capabilities. The school offers an outstanding program of extracurricular activities in which several student groups and teams regularly receive state and national recognition.
