Since 1983, SIRE, Houston's Therapeutic Equestrian Centers, has brought freedom from disabilities using the spirit and movement of the horse. Our program provides significant physical, emotional, educational and recreational benefits for individuals ranging in age from 3 years old to adults. 

The mission of SIRE is to improve the quality of life for people with special needs through therapeutic horsemanship activities and therapies, and educational outreach.

Our services and programs include

  • Therapeutic Riding and Horsemanship
  • Military Program: Horses for Armed Forces
  • Education through workshops and clinics
  • Annual competitions
  • Field Trips and Group Work Days

SIRE conveniently has 3 locations to  serve the nearly 700,000  people in the Houston area with disabilities; Fort Bend, Hockley, and Spring.   

SIRE is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
