The Smoky Hill Library is the major library resource for the large suburban area in the eastern portion of Arapahoe County and provides a wide variety of information for students, children, families and adults.
State-of-the-art technology is the library's mainstay. A computer training room for community classes, three study rooms with Internet access and more than 30 computers are available for word-processing and Internet use. We also offer wireless Internet access for your notebook computer or other 802.11b compatible wireless device. Free classes on computer skills and the Internet are also offered at the library.
The Smoky Hill Library collection has more than 100,000 books. In addition, an expanded collection of CDs, DVDs, videos, books on tape and other media provide free entertainment since library materials are available to the public with just a library card.
The 6,200 square-foot children's area features a story room with an 18-foot ceiling that beckons children in with its massive barn doors, which were designed to help transport children to faraway places during storytimes. The children's library also features a tree house, an outdoor patio and a child-sized craft area.
