Sneads Ferry Presbyterian Church began to take root in 1988 when a small group of newcomers to the area, recognizing their own beliefs and religious traditions, began to plan for a new church in this area. Other people learned of the plans and joined in. The first service was held on Ash Wednesday in 1988.

The congregation continued to grow and on June 12, 1994, the groundbreaking ceremony for a building was held. Also in June, Reverend Norm Story became the first full-time pastor of our church. On December 18, 1994, the first worship service was held in the new building exactly five years after the congregation had moved into Yopp's Chapel.

On June 27, 2004, the Reverend Dr. Timothy L. Croft was installed as pastor of the Sneads Ferry Presbyterian Church. Under his leadership our church is growing in numbers, financial stability, and the ability to serve the congregation and community. Our church has received so much from God's blessings throughout the years. We give thanks for His love and guidance and ask that His blessings continue so that we may serve Him.

The mission of Sneads Ferry Presbyterian Church is to reflect Jesus Christ in a way that glorifies and serves God; by providing meaningful worship, biblical teachings, opportunity for service to the local community and the world, and enriching fellowship among members and friends of the church.
