About Us:
The Solid Rock Church of God in Christ is a spirit led active pentecostal church located in the Indian Orchard section of Springfield, Massachusetts. Under the leadership of Pastor Talbert W. Swan, II the church has become a center of hope and restoration for many. Solid Rock continues to follow Pastor Swan's vision into a bright and shining future of service to God's people.
History:
The Solid Rock Church of God in Christ was founded in September 1994 in Worcester, MA by the Rev. Talbert W. Swan, II. The church moved into a small storefront building in Indian Orchard, MA in March 1995. With the guidance of the Lord Solid Rock purchased its current property at 176 Pinevale Street in Indian Orchard in April 1997. In addition to its current edifice the church owns several acres of property adjacent to the church. It is here that Pastor Swan has envisioned the building of a new edifice, community center, senior center and day care facility in the near future. In a few short years God has given Solid Rock favor within it's community and the resources to operate its various programs and ministries. It is a church in the heart of the community with the community in its heart!
