The Somerset Hills YMCA is a community service, not-for profit organization dedicated to building strong kids, strong families and strong communities. Located in the Basking Ridge section of Bernards Township, we serve nearly 15,000 people in Bernards Township, Bernardsville, Bedminster, Far Hills, Liberty Corner, Peapack-Gladstone, Pluckemin, Califon, Oldwick, Warren, Watchung, New Vernon and surrounding areas. Since 1951, the Somerset Hills YMCA has served the ever-evolving needs of a diverse and lively community, providing an environment where we can live, work and play together in the true spirit of cooperation.

At the Somerset Hills YMCA, we believe that the most important values an individual or organization can aspire to are caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. Our goal is to build a community in which people – all people – feel encouraged to develop to their fullest potential and we accomplish this through programs that help people grow in spirit, mind and body.

Our YMCA offers more than 150 programs annually, including swimming, wellness, fitness, nutrition, aquatics for the disabled, water exercise, day care, school aged child care, senior citizens recreation, youth and adult sports, gymnastics, dance, adventure-based activities for teens and corporations, specialized family activities and a variety of community service programs including Career Forum, Special Olympics and Rainbows – more programs and services than any other community service organization in the area.

At the heart of the Somerset Hills YMCA, beyond the variety of classes and programs, a feeling stirs that cannot be found anywhere else – it’s the spirit of the Y, and it is irreplaceable. That spirit comes from serving the community, volunteerism, family activities and people coming together.
