This place lacks real books. The staff is all white except for one black lady. Homeless people and crack heads love congregate and take up the computers. Just a bunch of shadyness. Be prepared for the second hand smoking outside. Black and white copies are 20 cents. You can pay with a card or with coins.

I Have never been more disrespected in my life then I was at this establishment. My wife and I were parting way inside when we were told that if we wanted to kiss we have to go outside. I Was absolutely appalled. We were actually approached by security and when I said I would like to speak to a manager or someone in charge. Was spoken to like a child frolicking with his girlfriend. Then I was told that if they allow me to do so. Then they would have to tell the teenagers to stop. Like what is this the 1800's. Luckily before this horrible experience my wife and I had a discussion with the wonderful women at the front desk. That put me in a better state of mind.

It's a great Library. Very clean and organized. The staff is very pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable. Almost every staff member that I've dealt with has gone above and beyond to help me with whatever project I was working on. It is very clean, quiet, and cozy. Great for just casual reading, or any type of research project. I would recommend this library to anybody who is looking for one.

My daughter loves coming here for books. To be honest the public library is one of the many untapped resources in NYC. There many activities here for kids from 6 months -2 years. All this are free. Highly recommended.
