Sunnycrest Orchards Green House And Farm Market

7869 State Route 10
518-284-2256

Sunnycrest Orchards have been family owned and operated since 1975. It was purchased by Milton and Carol Schilde upon their return from the Peace Corps with their three children. As the family grew so did the business.

Sunnycrest was operated as an orchard and cider mill and over the years adapted to the changing market by adding a farm market, greenhouses, and a country gift shop. Upon their retirement in 2013, Tim Schilde and Laurie Schmitt purchased the business from their parents and formed Sunnycrest Orchards, Inc.

Tim with a degree from Cornell University in agriculture and Laurie with a degree in nursing, offer a great benefit as they strive to grow and provide for the customer, the best products available using all natural techniques to grow and maintain their plants in the greenhouse and on the farm. While we are not a certified organic farm, organic farming practices are sensibly applied. We strive to grow superior healthy plants and to provide products that are made with conscious care.

The farm market offers local produce such as eggs, cheese, and milk as well as vegetables and fruit in season. Locally produced maple products, honey, jams, jellies also are available year round.

In 2014 Sunnycrest launched Sharon Springs Farm Girl Vinegars. Our all-natural, small batch artisanal cider vinegars are made here on the farm and are available for sale all year round.
