The mission of the Sunrise Recreation and Park District is to be responsive to its communities' needs for an enhanced quality of life and to advocate for positive social interactions by:

- Offering a variety of affordable leisure and learning opportunities to individuals of all ages and abilities, and
- Providing clean, safe, well-designed parks and facilities,
- Strengthening community image and sense of place,
- Support economic development,
