Syracuse Symphony Orchestra

Symphony Syracuse was founded by musicians of the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra after the declared bankruptcy of the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra, Inc. earlier this year. Our mission is to build an appreciation for symphonic music through the sponsorship and presentation of orchestra concerts throughout Syracuse and the Central New York region. Although we are not a successor to the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra, we do look forward to providing excellent performances for our community to enjoy while acting as a lifeboat organization for the musicians of the former Syracuse Symphony.

We are most grateful for past and present support of our endeavors and are looking forward to continuing to serve this community that has supported us for so many years. In light of this, Symphony Syracuse has scheduled a number of performances this summer that are, for the most part, free to the public. This has been made possible by generous contributions from both the private and public sectors. We continue to work on adding additional performances in the coming season and look forward to announcing these plans in the near future.

In addition to presenting these performances, we look forward to helping in the formation of a new symphony orchestra in Central New York.
