History
The International Association of Lions is an organization of men and women from 180 countries. The Fort Edward Lions Club is over 65 years old.(1939)
Who are we? We are your neighbors. Men, women, young and old. We all share one common spirit, helping those less fortunate. We assist the Blind, the Deaf, the Disabled and those in need. Whatever our community needs to make life better, we are there to try and help. In Fort Edward, We are Lions and We are here to Serve and we do it well. Over the years we have contributed to many worthy charities and have helped with eye care and hearing care whenever asked. We have provided scholarships to 15 school districts within our area for many years. We are a small organization of about 40 dedicated individuals who work very hard to serve our community. For 23 years Adirondack Drums has been our main fund raiser and it has grown into an area tradition, with many local people looking forward each year to the return of the Show. The Fort Edward Lions Club meets the 3rd Wednesday of each month at the Tin Fox Inn and visitors are always welcome. Jan., Feb, March meetings are held at the Anvil Inn.
