Greenfield has been part of the Main Street program since 1996. Utilizing tools offered by Main Street Iowa and partnering with community resources, Greenfield Chamber/Main Street/Development Corporation is able to provide new business mentoring, building design assistance, business improvement support and resource referral to the Greenfield Business Community and prospective entrepreneurs.

The Greenfield Chamber of Commerce, Main Street Greenfield, and the Greenfield Community Development Corporation merged in 2001, and provides services from its office on the lower level of the Historic Carnegie Library at the corner of Highway 92 and South First Street.
