About Us

The Groton Historical Society has been preserving Groton history since it was founded in the early 1930s. The Groton Historical Society is committed to the preservation of the history of Groton, providing genealogical and historical research and education, preserving the historic Peter Paul house and having fun!

The Groton Historical Society is authorized to accept donations for the sole use of the Society to keep and exhibit to the general public.   The Groton Historical Society may exchange duplicate items, loan items to other museums and/or determine the disposition of such donations that are not considered appropriate for storage or exhibition.  If an item is loaned or donated, The Groton Historical Society is considered free of any and all liability or claims arising out of keeping and exhibiting the loaned or donated property.  Before a donation can be accepted, a signed donation form must be completed

Meetings are held at the Peter Paul House at 1203 Scott Highway in Groton on the 1st Tuesday of each month at 6:00 PM from April through October.
