The Point Of Art
THE Point of Art Gallery is owned and managed by local artist, Anne Jenkins. Anne paints in acrylic and watercolor - house portraits in watercolor and various colorful scenes in acrylic. Anne is a recent transplant from New Orleans, Louisiana. She was born and raised in Africa, and lived many years around Europe before moving to the USA.
We plan on welcoming visiting artists from New Orleans and the Gulf Coast region to do shows and workshops in their particular field or medium....paintings, photography, glass, wood and recycled art to mention a few. There is a wonderful group of artists eager to show their work here.
Susan Crane of Washington, D.C., previously from Bay St. Louis, MS., taught a 1-day workshop, Saturday, 16 September, "From Sketching to Painting". It was a great success and all the attendees ask for more! We're trying to work out dates when she can teach more workshops.
