Mission:

"To turn the largest number of non-churched seeking people into fully devoted followers of Christ."

Our mission at The River Community Church is: to reach the most non-churched seeking people and turn them into fully devoted followers of Christ.

We believe this best occurs through the following process: Love, Lock, and Live.

LOVE refers to loving God. Our EXPERIENCES are designed to help people love God. We see the weekend experiences as an opportunity to help inspire people to want to love God (or love Him more deeply). We see our midweek experiences, called New Community, as an opportunity to help instruct people how to love God more in their daily lives.

LOCK refers to locking arms with one another. Our LIFE GROUPS are designed to help people lock arms in loving relationships. Life groups allow genuine community to exist and life change to occur. We offer two types of life groups: regular life groups and growth groups. Our regular life groups are ongoing small group communities that meet in homes with others in the same geographical area. Growth groups are short-term small groups that meet in various locations to deal with a specific area of the Christian life.

LIVE refers to living open-handedly. Our MINISTRY TEAMS are designed to help people live open-handedly with their lives. We have two types of ministry teams: River teams and Compassion teams. River teams are ministries within the church to help the church continue to grow and live out the mission. Compassion teams are opportunities to help impact the world for Christ through local, regional, national, and international trips and projects.

We believe that the best way to reach the most non-churched seeking people is to INVEST and INVITE. We encourage everyone to invest in the lives of the people in their neighborhoods, workplace, and social settings and then invite them to appropriate entry points at The River and ultimately, to invite them into a relationship with Christ! Our main entry points are weekend experiences, sport teams, and men and women's events.
