In March of 1983, Bishop Smith was appointed the Pastor of the Apostolic Church of Christ at 1925 Stanford Street, located in Twinsburg, Ohio. During the years following, countless sacrifices and repairs were made to the small white block church at 1925 Stanford Street. When the Smith's began their work in Twinsburg, there were just seven members in the mass choir. Since, the church grew as the Lord added souls and there became an increasing need for a larger facility. Led by this visionary man of God, ground was broken for a new edifice April 1994; The Sanctuary of Praise, Inc. God's truth yet marches on! 

As God's truth yet marched on and God was glorified in Phase I of the Sanctuary of Praise, Inc.; again souls were added to the church. Through the visionary, Bishop Dr. William B. Smith, Sr. several ministries developed and the working of these ministries required more space to meet and function; in the capacity that God would have the ministries of The Sanctuary of Praise to operate. The Lord would again deal with Bishop Dr. William B. Smith, Sr. about Phase II of The Sanctuary of Praise expanding.

In June 0f 2004 The Sanctuary of Praise Phase II building expansion was completed. The Sanctuary of Praise church 7,500 square-foot expansion includes: Offices, Classrooms, Larger Fellowship Hall, and the Expanded Chapel. This allows The Sanctuary of Praise to "be there" for the spiritual needs of all people, communities' education, counseling and childcare needs. All of this that God May Get The Glory.
