Tittabawassee Township is currently undertaking a $2.2 million sewer lagoon upgrade which will increase capacity and treat the sewage more effectively and within regulatory requirements. Due to the growth in the township over the past ten years, revenue from tap in fees is funding the improvements at the wastewater treatment plant when you factor in $1 million in plant improvements that are required as a result of Department of Environmental Quality regulations and deteriorating infrastructure.
