Town Of Hurley

About Us:

Hurley, NY is a town of just under 7000 people located in the heart of the beautiful Hudson Valley at the foot of the Catskill Mountains. Only 2 hours north of New York City and 1 hour south of Albany, we are on the National Register of Historic Sites.

Settled in 1661, today it consists of several hamlets; Old Hurley, West Hurley, Glenford, and Southside. Old Hurley is primarily an agricultural community noted near and far for our delicious corn. In the midst of several new housing areas stand our crown jewels, Stone Houses dating back to 1680. Climb west upon the Hurley Ridge into West Hurley, Glenford, and Southside for a different, but equally beautiful, view of life.

Bordering the world famous artist colony of Woodstock, West Hurley is comprised largely of newer housing and a wide variety of small, local businesses. Glenford and Southside offer the epitome of glorious country living and unspoiled beauty. Panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and the Ashokan Reservoir are breathtaking during each of our four wonderfully unique seasons.
