About Us

Irondequoit aptly means “where the land and waters meet” for the town is bordered by Lake Ontario, the Genesee River, Irondequoit Bay, the 1000-acre Durand-Eastman Park, and the City of Rochester.

Irondequoit is a developed suburb with over 52,000 residents. Destination shopping, movie theaters, and restaurants abound. Lots of attractive residential neighborhoods, two award-winning school districts, and a diverse business mix make Irondequoit the place to live, work, and play.

The historic Town Hall complex includes the 1830s-era Pioneer House Museum and hosts a popular summer concert series, as well as a seasonal farmers’ market and the region’s largest July 4 festival.

Attractions unique to Irondequoit include Seabreeze Amusement Park, Hot Dog Row, the House of Guitars, and the country’s oldest miniature golf course, recently added to the National Register of Historic Places.
