Who We Are:

We are God's People from all corners of the earth. It would be hard to find a more international group than the parishioners at Trinity. In addition to Americans and Canadians, English and Welsh, we are also Peruvians, Costa Ricans and Cubans, Norwegians, French, Swiss, Austrian, Italian, Nigerian, Turkish, Indian, Chinese, Japanese and Korean. We all worship together - not in individual small ethnic groups. We bring to our worship the different perspectives of our backgrounds - and share them with each other in peace and love. Many of us were born into other religions and denominations, but we all found a welcoming tolerance at Trinity Church.

Our past and present have been shaped by our strategic location. Lying close to New York City, Trinity was once a bastion of Anglican High Church traditions. As the region has changed and New York has become more of an international city, so has Trinity become an international congregation of many backgrounds. Several of us work at the United Nations; some of us work in the financial and business markets. Some even reside in New York City and commute to worship at Trinity. Bishop Spong called us "The New Jerusalem".
