Church History

In 1997, Elder Allen N. Fowle, Jr., and his family relocated from  the state of New York to Delaware, to fulfill the vision the Lord gave him to start an Apostolic Assembly.  While living in New York, Elder Fowle and his family attended the Beulah Church of God in Christ Jesus, pastored by Apostle Wilbur L. Jones, Sr.

In the year 2000, Pastor Fowle began a home bible study that eventually led to the birth of The True Worship Church.  In 2003, while pastor was in prayer, seeking direction from the Lord, the Lord spoke to him and told him to go to Delaware City.  Although Pastor Fowle had never been to Delaware City prior to that day, he immediately obeyed the voice of the Lord

Upon entering the city, Pastor and Sister Fowle met Mr. & Mrs. Nash.  They directed Pastor Fowle to a vacant church building, formerly known as St. Peters United Methodist Church; one of the oldest churches in Delaware City.  This church was established in 1873, and closed it's doors for service on November 15, 1998.  The building had been vacant for five years.  After researching ownership of the property, Pastor Fowle felt led by the Lord to make an offer on the building.  With the help of the Lord, the True Worship Church was able to purchase the building in July 2003, without having to obtain a mortgage.

On Sunday, September 18, 2004 the True Worship church opened it's doors for service.  On Sunday, October 30, 2004 the True Worship Church was dedicated to the Lord, by Bishop Curtis Bordley of Greater Love Temple.

Once again, the Lord blessed the True Worship Church with property.  In October 2006 with the help of the Lord, we were able to purchase the adjacent lot without having to obtain a mortgage.
