Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of he age.” Amen.

Here at Twin Rivers Missionary Baptist Church we have a heart and a mind for missions. Every month we contribute a percentage of our funds to support organizations affiliated under the Georgia Baptist Convention. In addition, we participate in the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering and the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering.

The Lottie Moon Offering goes to support our missionaries over seas. Annie Armstrong funds support missionaries here in the United States.
During Christmas we participate in Operation Christmas Child in which we prepare shoe boxes full of small toys and supplies as well as Gospel tracks to send to under privileged children overseas. Sometimes at Christmas we chose to support children within the community in lieu of the Operation Christmas Child. Also, we send children at the Georiga Baptist Convention a Walmart gift card for their birthday along with a card filled with our signatures to help them have a special day.

We believe that, as a church, we are to help those who are in need around us. We have a set amount of money that we give to church members and others in the community when they are in a time of need. We also contribute a substantial amount of money to those who are local victims of a burn-out, and those who are affected by natural disasters, such as those affected by Hurrican Katrina and those in DeLand, Fl who were hit by the tornados.

We are currently in the process of converting our pastorium into a missions house. This home will be available to use by missionaries who are home on furlough. When we are through renovating, the home will be complete with fresh paint, draperies, furniture, linens, etc. This is an exciting project that we are all eager to see complete! It will be a blessing to accommodate our overseas missionaries and to hear of their experiences.
