Unmentionable Theate of Monrovia

The Unmentionable Theatre is dedicated to creating affordable, living art of both social and personal value that not only inspires thought and feeling, but provides audiences with the rare and wonderful sense of community unique to live theatre. By using funds generated by productions to take our art into the greater Baltimore area, we hope to expose a new generation of patrons to theatre's rich heritage and its current validity.

Based out of Baltimore, Maryland, the Unmentionable Theatre has staged and collaborated on productions with many other Baltimore theater companies, including: Mobtown Players, Top Floor, the Living Room Company, Company 13, and the UMBC Theatre Council of Majors.

The Unmentionable Theatre was founded by UMBC alumni Paul Becker, Eric Messner, Robert Ulmer, Gbenga Idowu, Peter Pugliese, Gedalya Chinn, and Benjamin Pohlmeier in September 2002. The company is currently managed by Artistic Director Brigitte Pribnow, Managing Director Erica McLaughlin, and Founding Director Gedalya Chinn.

Unmentionable productions have been featured in the Baltimore Sun, Patuxent Publishing Newspapers, the Baltimore Examiner, and the Baltimore City Paper.

The Unmentionable Theater is a non-profit organization.
