Vansant Baptist was started as a mission church a little over sixty years ago to reach the people of Vansant, VA with the good news that Jesus saves. Today, the church continues that mission in our community and beyond. We seek to be “A Great Place to Belong” and “A Great Commission People.” In order to fulfill that goal, Vansant Baptist seeks to be a place where imperfect individuals can join together in seeking to follow God. We also seek to promote the good news of salvation in Jesus in our community, state, and around the world. In addition to being gospel oriented, we are a biblically conservative church. We believe that the bible is God’s word without error, so we place a high emphasis on studying God’s word through expository preaching, small group studies, and personal discipleship. We are a true multi-generational church with a passion for reaching out to the next generation, so expect to see a lot of children running around the church. We believe that God calls individuals to a church family for the good of the church and the good of the individual’s growth in Christ.
