Mission
To enhance, enrich, and support communities through the musical arts and provide scholarships for children and young adults to explore music.The Village Music Foundation is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization.
Vision
The Village Music Foundation was formed in the spring of 2005 as a direct outgrowth of the success of the Yachats Celtic Music Festival. By forming a new umbrella organization, we can expand our outreach to benefit additional worthy charitable organizations. We can make music and make a difference not only in Yachats, but also in our sister communities up and down the coast. Because we believe that music is a vital component of our culture, at least 25% of available Foundation proceeds will be set aside each year to be used in scholarships for children and young adults to explore music. The remaining available profits will be used to fund selected requests from non-profit organizations.
