In 1931, the Village of Roslyn Estates was incorporated to allow residents to have zoning and other controls over the community. At that time the current structure of government (Mayor, Board of Trustees, Zoning Board, Architectural Review Board, and Planning Board) was established.

The defining uniqueness of the Village of Roslyn Estates is its country-like setting, with ponds, walks, winding roads, and an abundance of trees. Our Village Boards and residents alike have a deep sense of community pride, and work hard to preserve and maintain the character of the Village.
