Wallington/Garfield Lions Club

P.O. Box 3267
973-472-2409

The Wallington Lions Club was chartered in June 1952, joining the largest service organization in the free world, Lions International. In becoming a chartered club, it filled the void created when the Garfield Lions Club disbanded a year earlier. The Garfield Club presented the Wallington Club with its brass gong and gavel set, which is still used today to officially call the meetings to order. For over fifty (50) years the Wallington Lions have been serving the communities in the Northern area of New Jersey with dedication and unselfishness. Supporting those in need and responding to those less fortunate

Through the hard work and dedication of its members, participating in charitable fund raising activities, support has been given to the organizations that provide services to the blind and handicapped. The Club has also taken an active interest in the civic, social and moral welfare of the surrounding communities. As well as, providing a forum to unite members in bonds of friendship, good fellowship and mutual understanding.

Let us reflect, remember and thank the original members of the Club, along with all former members that have contributed to the success of the organization. For the present membership and all future members, let us set our goals and vision to continue the outstanding reputation and service to humanity that the Wallington Lions Club has achieved during its existence.
