Western Maine Storytelling

St. Joseph’s Parish Hall, 130 Quebec Street
207-578-1791

Mission:

Our mission to engage the western Maine area in storytelling and folk arts and the celebration of regional narrative arts by disseminating information and knowledge, teaching storytelling strategies, and presenting excellent performances.

About Us:

We are a group of storytellers and story-lovers who present programs and support the art of storytelling in Western Maine for audiences of all ages.

Our regional association, the Western Maine Storytelling Guild, meets on the third Thursday of every month in Farmington and always welcomes new tellers and listeners.  For more information about this and other storytelling groups and venues in Maine, Upcoming Events – and check back frequently to see what’s new.

Since 2011, WMS has presented an annual festival spotlighting not only renowned professional storytellers, but also “good talkers” in our region.  We also produce individual storytelling events throughout the year at local theaters, restaurants, campfires, nursing homes, and libraries
